Pest Management Do's & Don'ts

Do • keep foundation walls clean
Do • keep moisture flowing away from the structure
Do • ventilate crawl spaces & attics
Do • cut back overhanging tree limbs & shrubs
Do • landscape with stone & rock (non-organic material around foundation)
Do • annually inspect for insect activity & use monitoring devices such as glue strips

Don't • have leaves & weeds piled against walls
Don't • have a reverse grade with clogged downspouts & gutters
Don't • have dark & damp locations in your home
Don't • have mulch piled around your foundation & in direct contact with the siding
Don't • stack firewood in or around foundation walls of the structure
Don't • have wooden doors or window frames in direct contact with the ground around your home
